Peabody & Stoneham Scholarship Information
Here at Stop-N-Go Driving Academy we understand that the recent changes in the driver education law may put an additional financial burden on some families. That is why in our Peabody branch office we are instituting new need based academic scholarship. We have worked out details with the guidance department at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, and you can pick up an application from your guidance counselor or you can call our Peabody Branch office for details at 978-531-9009 or Stoneham Branch at 781-245-2300.
The requirements are really quite simple.
Your family must have an economic need, this need is screened by the school system and must consist of participation in the reduced price or free lunch program for the child at school. The second requirement is academic achievement. We believe that children who work hard in school will also work hard in driver education, and learn to be better, safer drivers. In order for a student to qualify for our need based academic scholarship he or she must have a 3.0 grade point average or better.
The scholarships will range from $50.00 to $200.00 and are deducted from the total cost of the students tuition. A deposit of a minimum of one half of the balance must be paid upon enrollment. For example Tuition = $699.00, and the student is awarded a $200.00 scholarship, the balance due would be $499.00 and a minimum of $250.00 must be paid upon enrollment with the balance due before the students first driving lesson.
